Board Relations Manager

The Board Relations Manager reports to the Vice President of Development and the Co-Founder, and works closely with staff to coordinate activities related to Board of Directors, including scheduling and preparing for three full Board meetings each year, as well as many Board committee meetings throughout the year. The Board Relations Manager plays a central coordinating role for all High Line staff in their day-to-day interactions with Board members.

Events Coordinator

The Events Coordinator reports to the Director of Special Events within FHL’s Development Department, and provides support for FHL’s annual fundraising events while assisting with the Venue Rentals program. Fundraising-related events include a signature 1,000-person gala, 3 - 4 additional large-scale events, lectures, cocktail receptions, cultivation events, donor briefings, and tours.

Gardener

The Gardener will be responsible for the daily oversight of the gardens designed by Piet Oudolf, in coordination with lead landscape architecture firm James Corner Field Operations. The design evokes a natural landscape employing a matrix-style planting using native and exotic perennials and woody plants that changes through succession and growth through the year and over time. Growing plants 30 feet above ground level, the elevated High Line gardens are attended to using the finest horticultural methods while working within the unique opportunities and challenges of the space.

High Line Educator (temporary)

The High Line Educator will work with the Deputy Director of Programs & Education and other Educators to develop and facilitate educational programming on a unique historical, ecological, and cultural public space. Friends of the High Line views these programs as part of broader local engagement efforts, and seeks candidates committed to welcoming diverse audiences and cultivating relationships with neighborhood families.

Interim Director, Special Events

The Interim Director of Special Events is responsible for the planning and execution of all fundraising and cultivation events for both the annual and capital campaign efforts at Friends of the High Line as well as all aspects of selling and executing private venue rentals on the High Line and assisting with the execution of large-scale corporate activations.

Seasonal Custodian

The Seasonal Custodian is an employee of Friends of the High Line and an integral part of the Visitor Services team. This is a full-time, seasonal position that runs through the end of November. Under the general supervision of the Custodial Manager, the Seasonal Custodian works with a diverse team of horticulturists, maintenance technicians, and High Line administrators to achieve the highest standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the park.

Website & Email Marketing Manager

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Website and Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of Friends of the High Line’s website, execution of FHL’s e-mail marketing program, and future technology and infrastructure projects.
