ABOUT THE HIGH LINE TEEN ARTS & CULTURE COUNCIL
The High Line Teen Arts & Culture Council is a group of local youth who produce public programs in the park that combine arts, culture, horticulture, and social justice. These teen staff members spend more than six months thinking critically about power and cultural production, attending events across the city for inspiration, and working in teams to develop their own programs. Over 1,500 teens from across the city come together at these exciting events.
High Line Youth—part of High Line Community Engagement—is generously supported by Ford Foundation. Additional funding is provided by The Palette Fund. The High Line Teen Arts & Culture Council is supported, in part, with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the New York City Council—with special thanks to Council Member Corey Johnson.
