ABOUT LOS HACHEROS
Since joining forces in 2011, Los Hacheros has been setting dance floors aflame with their astounding live shows. With the release of their debut album, Pilon, the group captures a gritty soulfulness that has been absent from modern Latin music. Combining the raw emotion of Papote Jimenez's vocals, Jacob Plasse's psychedelic tres guitar, and Eddie Venegas and Itai Kriss' powerful mambos, Los Hacheros has created a powerful sound that is unique, timeless, and unmistakably New York.
Friends of the High Line is pleased to partner with Hudson Guild to host some of New York City's best Latin bands on the High Line, transforming the park into an open-air dance floor at sunset.
Public Programs on the High Line are supported by Altman Foundation. These programs are supported, in part, with public funds from the New York City Council, under the leadership of Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito.
