Get your hands dirty in our mobile garden, create a large-scale art installation with an artist, hear stories from everyone’s favorite librarian, design custom-made structures with the Children’s Workyard Kit, and watch an outrageous variety show with the performers of
Whoop Dee Doo!

High Line Honey Day, we’ll learn about bees, taste sweet plants, and more.

10:00 – 11:00 AM:
Storytime with Librarian Amalia Butler especially for ages 0-5 years old
Stories followed by short art activity and bubble machines for little ones.
Books: Today is Monday; Moo, Moo, Brown Cow, Have You Any Milk?

11:00 AM – 2:00 PM:
Mobile garden focusing on sweet plants
Art project: Come make oodles of candy with everyday materials like straws, rain ponchos and shower curtains, and turn them into delicious peppermint sticks and chocolate bars!
Building activity with the Children’s Workyard Kit
12:00 – 12:30 PM:
Variety Show by Whoop Dee Doo
Live show by Whoop Dee Doo – games, skits, dancing, prizes, giant bee puppets, a 12-foot sticky honeycomb, and not one but TWO Indian dance groups – styles ranging from Classical to Bollywood. They’ll be dancing with giant bees!!

All children must be attended by a caregiver at all times. Event is rain or shine.
