On the High Line at Gansevoort St.
Take a science fiction guided tour of a landscape that once was and explore the High Line from a seemingly alien perspective. Leading a journey through the park, the tour guide muses on the strangeness of a past civilization eons after its inevitable ruin. In No More Shimmering Cowboys, the High Line becomes a theme park, parading the galactic tragic myth that was the American Dream. Rotting shimmering cowboys, incarcerated mothers, and imagined folk songs are part of an apocalyptic adventure depicting our present time.
Now in its third year, Out of Line presents a new set of arresting, intriguing, and playful performances by some of New York City's most exciting contemporary artists.
We encourage all persons with disabilities to attend. To request additional information regarding accessibility or accommodations at a program, please contact email@example.com or 646.774.2482.
