Did you know that Friends of the High Line hosts free- and low-cost public programs?
Each season, we offer variety of opportunities for New Yorkers of all ages to meet their neighbors, share their stories, and take part in fun activities inspired by the distinctiveness of the High Line.
Information about our spring and summer programs is now available online. There is a little something for everyone. For example, this season you can:
- Bring your kids to a creative movement class, where they will be encouraged to break down into spontaneous dances that respond to the shapes and sounds of the High Line
- Gather at dusk under the Standard Hotel and gaze at the stars with one of the Amateur Astronomer Association’s high-powered telescopes.
- Dance the mambo and salsa to the beat of the Orlando Marin Orchestra.
- Or listen in on a free talk about the unique challenges of tending a garden in the sky.
The High Line is a place for visitors of all ages to experience great public art and learn about horticulture, urban design, and New York City's history. Come see for yourself! Visit our Events Calendar to check out the latest program listings and updates.
