Photo of the Week: A Bird's-Eye View of the High Line

This beautiful aerial photo gives a different perspective of the High Line and the surrounding city. Photo by Melissa Mansur

High Line Photographer Melissa Mansur captured this amazing rainy day aerial photo of the High Line during an openhousenewyork tour at The Standard, New York last weekend.

This photo offers a great bird’s-eye view of the High Line and surrounding neighborhood. On the right hand side of the photo, the frame of the four-story High Line Headquarters building and future home of the Whitney are progressing as construction continues on the two sites. In the distance, fog hangs over the skyscrapers over Lower Manhattan, where 1 World Trade Center can be seen rising over its neighbors.
