Photo of the Week: Preparing the Park for Winter

Timothy Schenck captured this stunning aerial shot of a gardener in the field. When you visit the park at this time of year, you see High Line Gardeners hard at work preparing for the transition to winter. As the weather cools, irrigation systems are shut off and damaged plants are trimmed back or staked. Behind the scenes, we’re gearing up for snow and ice removal by getting our staff and equipment ready for the winter season.

It’s still a great time to see fall color in the park. Download a November bloom guide or see more fall photos in the High Line Flickr Pool.
