The third section of the High Line, from 30th to 34th Streets, will be closed to park visitors from Tuesday, February 9, to Tuesday, February 23, due to an ongoing construction project. The High Line south of 30th Street will be accessible to visitors during this time.

Tomorrow: Project Runway All Stars at the High Line

Project Runway All Stars is going green! Earlier this year, the cast of the hit show’s second season gathered at the High Line for a unique design challenge.

The episode airs tomorrow on Lifetime, and we can’t wait to see what the designers dream up.

Join us after the jump for more details, photos, and airing information.

Each week on Project Runway All Stars, the designers are given a challenge for which they must quickly create runway fashions. In June, the week’s design challenge began on the final section of the High Line at the Rail Yards, where the designers met with the show’s host, Carolyn Murphy, and Friends of the High Line Co-Founders Joshua David and Robert Hammond to learn about the elevated railway.

After hearing about the High Line’s preservation and transformation into a public park, the designer’s were given the week’s task: create a “green dress for the red carpet” to be worn by Carolyn Murphy at a premiere event. They set out to explore the park’s summer landscape, taking inspiration and sketching ideas for their runway look, before returning to the workroom to create their designs.

Tune in tomorrow at 9:00 / 8:00 PM Central on Lifetime to see the episode. The High Line’s long-time supporter and neighbor, Diane von Furstenberg will serve as a guest judge, alongside regulars Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman.

We can’t wait to see which designer wins the challenge. Maybe it will even go well with our new DVF High Line Tote!
