Park Update: Crews have cleared the High Line's paths, and the park is open to the public between Gansevoort and 30th Streets. We are working to open the remainder of the park as soon as possible. Please check back or follow @highlinenyc on Twitter for updates.

Photo of the Week: Winter Day

30th Street A December scene in the 10th Avenue Square, as seen from below. Photo by Alan Greig

In late December, High Line Flickr Pool contributor Alan Greig captured this beautiful photo of visitors peering out from the 10th Avenue Square as part of his black and white series of images of the neighborhood.

Winter is a great time to photograph the park. It’s a time when the dried structural elements of plants beautifully complement the High Line’s steel and concrete architecture. Take your time as you stroll through the park, you may also see – or smell! – some of the park’s surprisingly delicate and fragrant winter blooms.
