A major milestone was passed last week when the windows were installed at the new High Line Headquarters, at the southern terminus of the park. This step marks the full enclosure of the four-story building, meaning that construction crews will soon begin working to configure the mechanical systems and install interior fixtures, such as tile, carpet, lighting, cabinets, countertops, furniture, and more.
We’ve made significant progress since our last update in December.

In the coming months, changes to the outside of the building will be minimal, but work will continue inside as crews prepare for the building’s opening later this year.
High Line Headquarters will transform the experience for visitors and staff members alike. For visitors, the building will offer a new public elevator, public restrooms, and a public programming room. The new High Line-level access will also make it easier for maintenance technicians, custodians, and gardeners on our staff to transport critical supplies to and from the park – a challenge that arises from tending a park 30 feet above the street.
