New Video Series: My High Line

Our new video series My High Line highlights the many uses of the High Line, and the people who call it their own.

The inaugural video portrait features Gammy Miller, a High Line Volunteer and long-time resident of the West Village.

Join us after the jump to discover her High Line.

The High Line means many things to many people – it's a place for quiet contemplation; a place to enjoy nature in a dense, urban environment; a place to hang out with friends; a place to find inspiration; a place to get involved in the community at large. My High Line celebrates the individuals who bring enthusiasm, knowledge, and creativity to park life on the High Line.

The series begins with Gammy Miller, a High Line Volunteer and long-time resident of the West Village. Gammy was one of the many volunteers who helped us complete this year's High Line Spring Cutback, and she regularly volunteers with our horticulture staff throughout the growing season. It is fitting to recognize her passionate commitment to the park as our inaugural video.

Sign up for the High Line E-News for updates on upcoming My High Line videos. The filmmakers at Arbuckle Industries did a great job with this video – we can’t wait to show you more.

Volunteers like Gammy play a critical role in all areas of Friends of the High Line’s operations. You’ll find volunteers tending plants alongside the High Line Gardeners, introducing visitors to the park’s history during guided docent tours, helping out at special events, and much more.
