Partial re-opening: Crews have cleared the High Line's paths, and the park is open to the public between 16th and 23rd Streets. We are working to open the remainder of the park as soon as possible. Please check back or follow @highlinenyc on Twitter for updates.

Photo of the Week: Dried Grasses at the Rail Yards

Brrrr – it’s chilly on the High Line!

High Line Photographer Phil Vachon captured this beautiful winter view of the park in the recently opened High Line at the Rail Yards section. This particular photo was taken just past 11th Avenue on 30th Street, looking east.

This combination of cool blue skies and dried grasses epitomizes the High Line in winter. The only thing you can’t experience through this photo is the cold rush of winter winds that often rips across the park, especially in the Rail Yards where the park curves close to the Hudson River.

Planning a visit to the High Line soon? Bundle up!
