Tune in to PBS tonight for the television premiere of "NY Export: Opus Jazz", a contemporary film version of groundbreaking choreographer Jerome Robbins' 1958 ballet. The film, which was created, produced, and danced by members of the New York City Ballet, follows the young dancers to abandoned urban locations around New York City. The ballet's spectacular "Passage for Two" was shot at sunset on the High Line at the rail yards.

On Wednesday, March 17, FHL's Vice President of Planning & Design, Peter Mullan, is participating in CUNY's 4-part panel series entitled, Turning the Tide: New York's Waterfront in Transition. Peter will be speaking with four other panelists on the topic, "Waterfront Parks: Old, New, Green, Blue". The symposium series will address issues pertaining to the transformation and preservation of the New York City Waterfront. The four additional speakers will include: Drew Becher, New York Restoration Project; Dr. Vicky Gholson; Friends of Riverbank State Park; Connie Fishman, Hudson River Park Trust; Jeanne Dupont, Rockaway Waterfront Alliance, and moderated by Dr. Rutherford H. Platt, Senior Fellow of CISC.

The Emerging New York Architects Committee(ENYA) with AIA New York recently announced the winners of its 4th international competition for High Bridge: Bronx, Building Cultural Infrastructure. The ideas competition was intended to explore urban opportunities and draw awareness to restoring and reopening the historic High Bridge.

ENYA biennial competition challenges designers to explore how disused structures can be reconfigured into vibrant urban centers. Over 170 teams and individuals from all over the world submitted design concepts for New York's High Bridge.
