Astronomy on the High Line
This fall, join Friends of the High Line and the Amateur Astronomers Association (AAA) of New York for Astronomy on the High Line, each Tuesday at dusk, on the High Line. Come view the night sky using the AAA’s high-powered telescopes, and get a lesson from the experts on the celestial wonders of New York’s night sky.
Telescopes will be set up from dusk to 9:30 PM under the Standard Hotel on the High Line, located between Gansevoort and 14th Streets. This event will occur every Tuesday evening through the end of November. You do not need to RSVP for this event.
In the event of a cancellation due to weather, a notice will be posted on the AAA Web site by 12:00 PM that day.

The New Yorker Passport to the Arts
Gallery Tour: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PMReception and Silent Auction: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Tickets are $45 and can be purchased online through the Passport to the Arts Web site here.
The New Yorker Promotion Department will donate all proceeds from the silent auction and a portion of those from ticket sales to Friends of the High Line.

City Symphonies Out of Doors: Text of Light
THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUTAcclaimed avant-garde ensemble Text of Light—composer and saxophonist Ulrich Krieger, guitarist and composer Alan Licht, turntablist and visual artist Christian Marclay, and Sonic Youth co-founder Lee Ranaldo—presents a live musical score to Berlin: Symphony of a Great City (Walter Ruttman, 1927), a feature-length "city symphony” film that captures urban life through a vibrant mix of documentary footage, abstract visual compositions, and impressionistic montage techniques.
