FAMILY Programs: High Line Hunt

Join Dorothea Basile and ARTime to discover hidden secrets of the High Line including train tracks, mystery tunnels, and pinwheels.

FREE. RSVP recommended but not required. Walk-ins will be admitted until the program is full. Event will take place rain or shine.

Dorothea Basile is an art historian and museum educator. In 1994 she became the Co-founder and Director of ARTime, an arts and education organization offering school, family, and adult programs with a focus on contemporary art. Since 1995, she has taught art appreciation classes for the 92nd St Y in contemporary art galleries and museums, and since 1999 she has been the contemporary art historian-in-residence for Battery Park City Parks Conservancy's 20th and 21st public art collection. Dorothea has worked as the Program Coordinator of museum-learning collaboratives for the Brooklyn Museum, Curriculum Specialist for P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center, and Lecturer for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Dorothea received her M.A. in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University in 1988 and her B.A. in Art History from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
