ARTS: "Autumn Crossing" Performance
Enjoy dances by Naomi Goldberg Haas/ Dances For A Variable Population and the Hudson Guild Senior Center, set to the music of the Village Warsaw Band. The dances feature a celebration of rich, colloquial movement that take the audience on an intergenerational adventure.

NATURE: Morning Gardener Tour
Enjoy the quiet, early hours in the park with High Line Gardener Maryanne Stubbs, who will point out birds, butterflies, and pollinators. Binoculars are recommended, but not required.

EVERY SATURDAY: Free, Guided Walking Tour with a High Line Docent
Walking tours are a great way to learn more about the High Line’s history, design, and distinct horticultural elements in an intimate setting.
High Line Docents are volunteers trained by Friends of the High Line staff on all aspects of the High Line. Every Saturday at 11:00 AM, a High Line Docent leads a free, guided walk through Section 1 for up to 20 people. Meet at the bottom of the Gansevoort Street stair. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not accepted.

2010 High Line Chefs Dinner
On Sunday, October 3, Tom Colicchio will toast the unique energy and ingenuity of the High Line by bringing together acclaimed chefs from restaurants in the neighborhood to present a special tasting dinner at Colicchio & Sons, 85 Tenth Avenue at West 15th Street.
On this festive evening, the High Line's inner circle of dedicated supporters will enjoy dishes by chefs including Tom Colicchio of Colicchio & Sons, Jamison Blankenship of Morimoto NYC, Ralf Kuettel of Trestle on Tenth, Mark Ladner of Del Posto, Marc Meyer and Robert Berry of Cookshop, Anthony Ricco of Spice Market, Dan Silverman of The Standard Grill, and Sue Torres of Sueños.
At the same time, you’ll be giving much-needed support to the High Line – your participation at this dinner helps us maintain and operate the High Line to the highest standard.
Leadership packages, which include 6 – 12 tickets, are $5,000, $10,000, and $25,000. Individual tickets are $1,000 and $2,500. A small allotment of $500 tickets are available, for a limited time.

NATURE: Walking Tour with High Line Gardeners
Join the High Line’s gardeners on a walking tour to learn about the park's one-of-a-kind horticulture design, and the unique challenges of tending a garden in the sky.
Walking tours with the High Line's gardeners take place on the first Tuesday of every month.

EVERY TUESDAY: Stargazing With the Amateur Astronomers Association
Join Friends of the High Line and the Amateur Astronomers Association (AAA) of New York for Astronomy on the High Line, each Tuesday at dusk, on the High Line. View the stars using the AAA’s high-powered telescopes, and get a lesson from the experts on the celestial wonders of New York’s night sky.
Telescopes will be set up from dusk to 9:30 PM under the Standard Hotel on the High Line, located between Gansevoort and 14th Streets. This event will occur every Tuesday evening. In the event of rain, Stargazing will be cancelled. For updated information on weather related changes, visit www.aaa.org.

DESIGN: Walking Tour with High Line Design Team
Join Lisa Switkin, Associate Principal at James Corner Field Operations, and Matthew Johnson, Senior Associate at Diller Scofidio + Renfro, for a behind-the-scenes look at how the High Line’s innovative design was conceived and implemented.

Walking Tours of the High Line at the West Side Rail Yards
As part of Open House New York, join Friends of the High Line on a walking tour of the High Line at the rail yards. Currently owned by CSX Rail Corporation, this section accounts for one-third of the entire historic structure and has not yet been secured for park use.
Registration information coming soon.
Rail yards preservation efforts and programs are supported by the LuEsther T. Mertz Advised Fund, The New York Community Trust, Greenacre Foundation, and are made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts.

KIDS: Animal Tales / Cuentos de Animales: Stories & Songs with Felix Pitre
Sing and laugh along with Felix Pitre as he presents a collection of animal stories and songs from Brazil, Mexico, and Peru that celebrate the environment and teach respect for creatures large and small. Presented in Spanish and English.

Autumn on the High Line brings an explosion of seeds! Hunt for seed pods in the gardens, examine High Line seeds up close, and make a birdseed feeder to take home. Wild Wednesday Activities take place on the last Wednesday of every month.
