Second Saturday Play: Roof Dance Relay with Trisha Brown Dance Company

Second Saturdays feature special programs developed with visiting teaching artists and professional artists from the High Line Art program. This month, the Trisha Brown Dance Company will lead three 40-minute-long movement workshops drawing inspiration from Brown's 1971 work, Roof Piece

Families will experiment with sending and receiving movements to one another, exploring Trisha Brown's particular style with three of Trisha Brown Dance Company's own dancers. After learning movements from Brown's work, families are invited to return at 5:00 PM to watch Roof Piece performed by Trisha Brown Dance Company on surrounding buildings.

Trisha Brown Dance Company will lead three Roof Dance Relays:
10:00 - 10:40 AM
10:40 AM - 11:20 AM
11:20 AM - Noon

Saturday Play takes place weekly throughout the summer. The Children's Workyard Kit is also available during Saturday Play, where children can build their own work with real lumber planks, simple tools, and natural materials.
