The High Line’s design was created by a visionary team led by James Corner Field Operations, with Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Piet Oudolf.

Join landscape architect Elizabeth Fain LaBombard, an associate at James Corner Field Operations, on a walking tour to learn about the High Line project, from concept through execution. Elizabeth will discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by the elevated steel structure when designing and installing the landscape on the High Line.

This High Line Program is open to visitors of all ages. Tickets are $15, or $10 for members of Friends of the High Line.

About Elizabeth Fain LaBombard
Elizabeth Fain LaBombard holds a Bachelor Degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard. Prior to joining James Corner Field Operations, she researched landscape urbanization processes as part of the continued investigation of Professor Alan Berger from MIT, culminating in the 2006 publication Drosscape: Wasting Land in Urban America. She has also worked as an intern for Mia Lehrer & Associates and Johnson Fain in Los Angeles, Ca.
