As part of the 8th Annual openhousenewyork Weekend, Friends of the High Line will offer free 30-minute guided walking tours of the High Line at the West Side Rail Yards throughout the day on Saturday, October 9, and Sunday, October 10.

Currently owned by CSX Rail Corporation, the High Line at the West Side Rail Yards represents for one-third of the entire historic rail line structure, and offers sweeping views of the Hudson River, New Jersey, the Empire State Building and the Midtown skyline.

We released more than 700 tickets on Wednesday, September 29, which were reserved within hours. As people cancel their reservations, additional tickets will open up to the public. Please continue to check the links below for availability.

We apologize that we cannot accommodate all those who would like to attend. Due to safety concerns, Friends of the High Line, the City of New York, and the railroad that owns this section of the High Line can only allow a certain number on the structure at one time.

Rail yards preservation efforts and programs are supported by the LuEsther T. Mertz Advised Fund, The New York Community Trust, Greenacre Foundation, and are made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, celebrating 50 years of building strong, creative communities in New York State’s 62 counties.
