The first-ever High Line Art Dinner took place on the High Line on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, with proceeds helping Friends of the High Line sustain this incredible public art program and the park we cherish.

This event was a one-of-a-kind experience – the first dinner to have taken place on the High Line since it opened in 2009 – featuring sunset cocktails on the Diller – von Furstenberg Sundeck, an intimate seated dinner for 200 guests under the cover of the Chelsea Market Passage, and an incredible performance conceived by artist Pablo Bronstein, featuring ballerinas perched atop a 20-foot palm tree.

The High Line Art Dinner celebrated our commitment to expanding the role of contemporary art in the life of public spaces, pushing the limits of what public art can be. Support of this event has provided essential leadership in our efforts to sustain the High Line Art program, create opportunities for artists to realize ambitious projects, and enrich the High Line experience for its millions of annual visitors.
