Sign Up Now: High Line Fujifilm Kids' Camera Project

Many people associate the High Line District with the upscale shops, restaurants, and other businesses that receive so much attention in the press. But there's another side to the neighborhood – the people, places, and things only known by people who spend a lot of time in the neighborhood.

That's why Friends of the High Line has partnered with Fujifilm to give one-time-use cameras to kids who live and play in the High Line neighborhoods of the West Village and Chelsea.

The goal is for kids to take pictures of things around them they see as important or interesting—things that they love. Working with Fujifilm, Friends of the High Line will showcase these images, letting all New Yorkers see the High Line District through the eyes of the children who know it best. FHL plans to include one photo from each child in an online gallery. In addition, a selection of photos will be exhibited the concourse gallery of Chelsea Market. Open to kids 11 years old and younger.

Participation in this program is free, but we have a limited number of cameras, so register now. The registration deadline is July 21.

For more information or to register your child, contact Meredith Taylor at or (212) 206-9922.
