The City of New York has acquired the title to the third and final section of the High Line from CSX Transportation, Inc. The transfer of ownership paves the way to begin construction so that the last stretch can open to the public one day soon.

In March, the High Line Design Team presented their initial designs and listened to the community's suggestions and feedback. This next Monday, they will be presenting the latest designs and answering questions from the public.

Join us on Monday, July 23 for a presentation and discussion with the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy and the Roosevelt Park Conservancy about the role of Detroit's public spaces like the International Riverfront and Riverwalk, the Dequindre Cut, Roosevelt Park, and Ponyride.

Put on your favorite summer outfit and stop by the park this week.

The High Line is being transformed into a virtual interactive runway in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Project Runway and the upcoming debut of its new season. The virtual runway will be open in the Chelsea Market Passage beginning Monday, July 16.

Summer is a great time to visit the park. The foliage is at its lushest and new blooms are appearing daily.

Due to anticipated crowds in the Meatpacking District and Chelsea for the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks, the High Line will close at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 4 in cooperation with the New York City Police Department and the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation.

The High Line Merchandise and Membership Cart and High Line Food Partners will close at approximately 5:00 PM.

Regular park hours will resume on Thursday, July 5.

This is the first season that we are offering both sweet and savory food at the High Line, and we want to SEE what you think.

Summer hours take effect on Friday, June 1, with the park being open from 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM.
