We’re thrilled to announce that the National Building Museum has awarded its fifteenth Vincent Scully Prize to High Line Co-Founders Joshua David and Robert Hammond for their work in creating one of the most successful urban revitalization projects to date.

The Vincent Scully Prize recognizes exemplary scholarship, criticism, or practice in architecture, historic preservation, or urban design. David and Hammond will present an original talk, “Harnessing Friction,” as part of the public award ceremony at Washington D.C.’s National Building Museum on September 30.

Teens: Dress like a fashionista and come out to party with rising musicians and the High Line Teen Arts Council (TAC).

On Thursday, August 15, from 6:00 to 9:30 PM, join us at the 14th Street Passage for this summer's second High Line Teen Night. Design custom t-shirts, enjoy live music, and get down at our glow-in-the-dark dance party.

High Line Art presents Adrian Paci's The Encounter (2011), PilgrIMAGE (2005), and Turn On (2004). Often inspired by autobiographical details and the transformations of his home country, Paci's works intertwine personal narratives with poetic chronicles of life in exile.

The film is projected daily on a loop within the 14th Street Passage, on the High Line at West 14th Street.

Play, create, learn, explore – there are fun drop-in activities for kids and their caregivers all summer long on the High Line.

Stop by Wild Wednesday to explore the lifecycle of plants. Enjoy sing-alongs and storytelling during Lawn Time for Little Ones. Get creative during Arty Hours with hands-on art projects inspired by the High Line’s landscape.

High Line Kids programs are free, thanks to support from MetLife Foundation.

The High Line is one of many examples of communities working together to re-imagine out-of-use industrial infrastructure to improve the quality of life in our cities.

On Monday, July 15, thought leaders Majora Carter and Enrique Peñalosa will share their creative strategies to build and sustain parks and open space in underserved communities during the next Beyond the High Line, a free public talk series on the High Line.

Summer is a great time to visit the High Line.

See new flowers blooming each week. Relax on the chaise lounges along the Diller - von Furstenberg Sundeck. Sunbathe on the 23rd Street Lawn. Enjoy a bite to eat from the park’s food vendors as you watch the sun set over the Hudson River.

Due to anticipated crowds near the High Line for NYC Pride and the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks display on the Hudson River, the park will close at 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 30 and Thursday, July 4, in cooperation with the New York City Police Department and the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation.

Regular park hours will resume on Monday, July 1, and Friday, July 5.

Coach has made a $5 million gift to the Campaign for the High Line, a fundraising effort to open the High Line at the Rail Yards and build an endowment to sustain the park’s long-term maintenance and operations.

This generous gift, made by Coach’s philanthropic foundation, marks a major step toward opening the entire elevated railway to visitors and sustaining the park for future generations to enjoy.
