INTRODUCING THE HIGH LINE BLOG!

We've just launched a new blog! Written by eleven full-time staff members and updated daily, the High Line Blog is our way of keeping you updated on all things High Line. We'll occasionally feature guest bloggers from our design team, volunteers, and community.

We'll post new construction pictures, announcements about events, neighborhood news, interesting stories about similar projects around the world, and maybe even a celebrity sighting or two. You can subscribe to our RSS feed, leave comments, and submit questions and post ideas.

FEBRUARY 28: ENGINEERING THE HIGH LINE, AT FIT, FREE

Other Projects by the High Line Structural Engineering team include, top row: Saudi Arabia's Al Faisaliah Tower and the Danish National Opera House, by Buro Happold. Bottom row: New York City's Irish Hunger Memorial and the restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, by Robert Silman Associates.

THIS THURSDAY: Space is still available at our structural engineering design talk, co-sponsored by the Master's Program in Exhibition Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Joseph F. Tortorella and Andre Georges of Robert Silman Associates (who are responsible for the restoration of the historic structure), and Chistobal Correa and Stanley Wojnowski of Buro Happold (who are engineering all new structural elements) will spend about one-third of the time discussing the work they have done on the High Line, and the rest of the time on their other high-profile projects.
