Now on View: High Line Art’s First Group Exhibition, “Lilliput”
Visit the High Line this spring, and you will find small-scale sculptures by six artists installed in usual and unexpected places throughout the park.
It’s all part of Lilliput, the first group exhibition at the High Line. The show takes its title from Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels, conjuring a magical world populated by fairy tale creatures, mysterious idols, and dreamlike landscapes.
The Lilliputian-sized sculptures will soon be joined by their own Gulliver. A monumental bronze sculpture by Thomas Houseago, called Lying Figure, will be installed on the High Line near Little West 12th Street on Friday.

Another incredible season is underway!
Our staff is planning to make this season the High Line’s best yet, with twenty blocks of thriving gardens … exciting new programs … interactive performances … and much, much more.
But we can’t do it alone. From Gansevoort to West 30th Street, members sustain the park. It is only with your support that we can hire the gardeners and maintenance staff who care for the park. Plus, your support this season will allow us to work toward opening the High Line at the rail yards to the public as soon as possible.
Please, won’t you help make the season to come the High Line’s best yet, by making a 2012 Membership Gift today?
