Park Update: High Line Will Close Early on July 4

Due to anticipated crowds for the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks, the High Line will close at 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 4, in cooperation with the New York City Police Department and the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation.

Regular park hours will resume on Friday, July 5. We wish you a safe and happy Independence Day.

¡Arriba! Dance at Sunset on the High Line

On Wednesday, July 24, head to the High Line at West 16th Street for ¡Arriba! — an evening of live music and dancing.

From 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Liliana Araújo and her lively band Forró da Madame will transform the High Line into an open-air dance party. Groove to the rhythms of Brazilian forró, a popular dance and musical style marked by accordion, triangle, and zabumba bass drum beats.

The High Line’s food vendors will be offering dinner and dessert near the event, so you can enjoy music with your tacos, barbecue, and paletas.

Voting Ends Today for #GetBusted Contest

We asked you to nominate someone who you think deserves to be commemorated by a sculpture on the High Line, and the response was fantastic!

We selected five finalists from nearly 100 nominees, and today is your last chance to vote for your favorite. The contest ends at 5:00 PM ET today, so vote now.

Popular vote will determine the sitter of our sculpture, which will be installed on the High Line for six months as the tenth work in the Busted group exhibition curated by High Line Art. We’ll announce the winner on July 8.
