NEW HIGH LINE DESIGN FOR SECTIONS 1 AND 2

The Woodland Flyover, one of the new design features planned for Section 2 of the High Line. Design by Field Operations and Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Courtesy the City of New York.

A new set of renderings of the final High Line design has just been released. This is the first new design work to be publicly released since 2005, when preliminary designs for Section 1 were showcased at the Museum of Modern Art. High Line design team Field Operations and Diller Scofidio + Renfro have completed design work for Section 1 of the High Line (Gansevoort Street to 20th Street), which is projected to open by the end of this year, and Section 2 (20th Street to 30th Street), which will open in 2009.

You can view these never-before-seen design renderings, which illustrate dramatic features like the Tenth Avenue Square and the Woodland Flyover, in our design slideshow, in a new design video, and in a new design publication, Designing the High Line.
