The High Line in Winter

The High Line is open daily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM during the winter. Stop by and take in the beautiful views and even a few blooms.

You have a few days left to contribute to our High Line Holiday Toy Drive, Bring new, unwrapped gifts for kids to the drop-off box inside Chelsea Market between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, until December 16. And join us on Saturday, December 21, for the Gaits: A High Line Soundwalk. Participants in this group walk listen along after downloading the sound application onto their smartphones, or borrow a free wearable speaker for the event.

Images of Our Latest Rail Yards Designs

See the latest design concept for the Spur, the section of the High Line at the Rail Yards that extends over 10th Avenue at West 30th Street.

This latest design features a bowl-shaped structure that will invite visitors to experience nature in the heart of New York City. In addition to abundant vegetation and seating, the structure will also offer much-needed amenities, such as public restrooms. See the newly released renderings and learn more about the design on our blog.

And now is the perfect time to purchase our bestselling 2014 High Line Calendar, featuring beautiful photographs of the High Line in every season. Each of these stunning images has a story to tell, and we're sharing them every month on our blog.

Snow Volunteers

The High Line looks beautiful blanketed in freshly fallen snow, but making the mile-long park safe for visitors after a winter storm is an enormous task.

If you'd like to lend a hand, we welcome volunteers to help our staff clear the walkways of snow and ice. Just stop by the 16th Street High Line entrance between 8:00 AM and 11:15 AM the morning following a storm. You can also sign up in advance to receive updates.

2013 Matching Gift Challenge: Double Your Gift!

Next year, we will see a dream fulfilled, as the final section of the High Line opens to the public. But to keep construction on track and care for the entire park we need help from every single member and friend.

That’s why our Board of Directors has issued this challenge: If we can come together and raise $350,000 by 12/31, members of the High Line’s Board will personally match every gift dollar-for-dollar. To reach this goal, and keep the park thriving, we are counting on you. Please, move the High Line forward – and double the impact of your support – with a special tax-deductible contribution now.
