Park update: From 7am – 3:30pm on Monday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19, the High Line will be partially closed between 23rd and 30th Streets due to construction. Visitors can enter and exit at the 23rd Street stair/elevator and the 30th/10th Street stair. The entrances from Hudson Yards, the Connector, and the Spur remain open.
Ageratina altissima ‘Chocolate’
Snakeroot is a northeast native and a common weed in New York City; this cultivar is distinctive for the chocolate-colored tint of the oblong leaves.
Lavandula angustifolia ‘Munstead'’
Despite the name, this herb is actually native to the Mediterranean region. It’s a member of the mint family.
Origanum ‘Rosenkuppel’
This plant was voted Perennial of the Year in the Netherlands. Here on the High Line, it contributes to the vivid aromatic landscape.
Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Foxtrot’
This ornamental grass, native to Asia and Australia, is popular for its graceful form and showy flowers.
Lonicera sempervirens ‘Major Wheeler’
Though not fragrant, this is one of the showiest vining honeysuckles, with an abundance of flowers joined by bright berries in late summer.
