Ryan McGinley presents Blue Falling, a photograph depicting a person set against a vast blue background. As if floating in a sea or sky, the figure appears to hover effortlessly in the middle of the photograph. Read more [7].

HIGH LINE BILLBOARD, West 18th Street at 10th Avenue
Conceptual artist Allen Ruppersberg presents a collection of colorful posters never before shown in this configuration or scale. Arranged side by side on a grid, the posters display the many combinations of the words “you” and “me” with verses and absurd linguistic associations that can be read in different orders, allowing for unexpected connections between words and ideas. Italian artist Paola Pivi presents one of her most iconic images, two zebras portrayed on a snowy mountaintop, standing under a deep blue, cloudless sky. This odd tableau questions the viewer’s notion of what is real and what is fake. Read more [11].

HIGH LINE CHANNEL 14, on the High Line at the 14th Street Passage
Dutch artist Guido van der Werve presents a 9-minute video consisting of time-lapse photography taken over a 24-hour period at the North Pole. Depicting a large, barren landscape of icecaps and blue sky, the video immortalizes the artist slowly turning in the opposite direction of the earth’s rotation. Read more [35].

On the High Line under The Standard, New York
Los Angeles-based artist Jennifer West invited the public to walk on, touch, dance, and alter a one-mile-long celluloid filmstrip adhered to the entire length of the High Line’s pathway for one day in September 2012. Since the performance, West has turned the altered filmstrip into a video, which will be screened on the High Line. Read more [74].

Los Angeles-based artist Jennifer West will invite the public to walk on, touch, dance, and alter a one-mile-long celluloid filmstrip adhered to the entire length of the High Line’s pathway for one day. 2009
Specials is a collaboration between artists Lisa Sigal and Paul Ramírez Jonas. For this ongoing, roving art project, the artists have constructed a mobile unit composed of vendor carts and a 10 x 4 foot wall. On one side of the wall, they hang artwork by a wide range of artists; on the flip side, they serve homemade tacos, free of charge. Read more. [88]
