Planning to give a copy of our new book, High Line: The Inside Story of New York City’s Park in the Sky [3], as a holiday gift?

Join us this week to get the book signed by the authors, Joshua David and Robert Hammond. The High Line Co-Founders will be at Charles Nolan [4] on Thursday, December 8 and the Whitney Museum of American Art [5] on Friday, December 9.

Charles Nolan is a clothing store located on Gansevoort Street the Meatpacking District. The store, which was recently profiled [6] by Eric Wilson in The New York Times, features works by local artists, up-and-coming designers, and recent graduates of the Fashion Institute of Technology. It is just a short walk away from the High Line and worth a visit, where you are planning to come to the book signing or not.

In 2015, the Whitney will open its door at a new downtown location next to the High Line. Work is underway on the new building, and if you want a closer look at the design, join us on Friday. After you get your copy of the book signed by Josh and Robert, you go check out the museum’s exhibit, Designing the Whitney of the Future [8], which offers a glimpse at the renderings and model for the new building, designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop.
