This past Wednesday, for our first session of Play With Your Food, High Line Food vendor People’s Pops joined us to make fresh lemon shaved ice with kids. Photo by Rowa Lee [2]
 

In this great photo by Rowa Lee [2], People’s Pops co-owner David Carrell looks on as young Play With Your Food participants learn how to make hand-squeezed lemonade shaved ice this past Wednesday.

The Play With Your Food series features a different High Line Food [3] vendor every Wednesday who leads a hands-on activity with a kid-friendly recipe. Families are invited to learn culinary tips and tricks, and partake in the delicious final creations.

On Wednesday, September 12, an extra special Play With Your Food session in celebration of Honey Day at the High Line [4] will feature La Newyorkina who will help kids make parfaits topped with honey-granola.
