High Line Photographer Steven Severinghaus [3] captured this beautiful image of the Northern Spur Preserve, on the High Line at West 16th Street, where the first hints of fall color can be seen amongst the crab apples, asters, sedges, catmint, and phlox.

A seasonal transformation is underway in the planting beds all along the High Line. From red-leafed sumacs along the Diller – von Furstenberg Sundeck, on the High Line at West 14th Street, to the drying Korean feather reed grasses at West 24th Street and a variety of purple asters in bloom throughout the park, fall color at the High Line is nearing its peak. This week will be a great time to stop by with your camera!
