In late December, High Line Flickr Pool contributor Alan Greig [3] captured this beautiful photo of visitors peering out from the 10th Avenue Square as part of his black and white series [4] of images of the neighborhood.

Winter is a great time to photograph the park. It’s a time when the dried structural elements of plants beautifully complement the High Line’s steel and concrete architecture. Take your time as you stroll through the park, you may also see – or smell! – some of the park’s surprisingly delicate and fragrant winter blooms. [5]
