Park in the Sky - Day Trip for Summer Camps

Friends of the High Line is launching day trips for camp and community youth groups this summer! Campers will learn about the unique design, horticulture, and art on the High Line. They'll also be able to design their own park using our Children's Workyard Kit, a mobile crate of building materials designed to help kids chart their own course of play on the High Line using custom-designed wood planks, wheels, ropes, gears, and pulleys. We invite you to request a trip led by trained educators via our online booking system. If you have any questions during the booking process please email grouptrips@thehighline.org. Field trips are 75-minutes long, and cover all aspects of the park in a fun, hands-on experience.

Trip Size
Day trips are available for up to 30 campers per time slot, with one chaperone required for every ten children. Your group will be divided into two groups once you meet your educators. Please help us by dividing up your group in advance by age.

Trip Fee
One day trip for 30 campers is $140. Chaperones are included in this cost. Financial assistance is available for groups in need. Please contact Katie Henry at katie.henry@thehighline.org for more information.

Schedule
Day trips for summer camps are conducted Monday through Friday, at 10 AM, 11 AM, and 11:45 AM. Each trip is 75 minutes long.
