Multiple proposals

Amalia Pica (b. 1978, Neuquén, Argentina; lives in London, England)

Mechanical Semaphore (pictured above)
Mechanical Semaphore references the history of the semaphore telegraph, which was a communication tool to convey information across long distances. This participatory sculpture can be manipulated by viewers, who can spell out their own messages. The visual language of the painted surfaces is inspired by maritime flags, another early system of communication.

A Self-Celebratory Monument (working title)
In A Self-Celebratory Monument (working title), a rotating disco ball is installed on top of an interactive light-up dance floor inspired by Afghan Star, a popular reality television series that marked the return of Western pop culture to the mainstream in Afghanistan, where music was banned altogether by the Taliban regime from 1996 to 2001.
