Turtle Island (pictured above)
Turtle Island is made of volcanic basalt and represents the Indigenous and First Nations creation story of the Sky Woman who, falling from the sky, is placed onto the back of a turtle. This project presents the possibility of a monument whose narrative is sourced from a cosmogonic myth original to this continent.

Safe
Safe
is a large cube made of 5,000 guns welded together in a dense steel lace. The guns are sourced through gun buyback programs organized by gun violence prevention groups, with the goal of taking more than 5,000 guns off the streets.
