Park Update: Crews have cleared the High Line's paths, and the park is open to the public between Gansevoort and 30th Streets. We are working to open the remainder of the park as soon as possible. Please check back or follow @highlinenyc on Twitter for updates.

You Helped Choose the Next High Line Map Cover

Thanks to all who took part in our cover photo contest for the third edition of the High Line Map.

Follow us after the jump for details.

More than 700 people voted on Facebook, and one photo emerged as a clear winner. With over half of the votes, a contemplative sunset shot by Austin Kennedy, pictured above, spoke to the High Line's Facebook fans.

Here are a few of our favorite comments:

"The view of the Hudson which is so central to the experience. When walking the path the river view helps define your sense of place."

"We see a human being enjoying a space designed for human beings. And the framing of the picture exhibits a blurring of boundaries between planted and built space that surely reflects the architects' original intention."

"No doubt this one's the best with the Hudson in the background and the person on the seat enjoying the wonderful planting!"

Thank you to everyone who voted and commented!

The map is at the print shop now. We look forward to debuting the new map in the coming weeks on the High Line Web Shop, and at our merchandise cart on the High Line in April.
