Advisory: The High Line's Northernmost Section Will Be Temporarily Closed

Please note:
The High Line's northernmost section — from 30th Street and 11th Avenue to 34th Street between 11th Avenue and 12th Avenue — will be temporarily closed from Monday, August 17 through Monday, September 21, for some maintenance work on the Interim Walkway. The rest of the park will remain open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

We look forward to reopening the section on Tuesday, September 22, in time to welcome a new performance piece by artist Kevin Beasley. For the piece, commissioned by High Line Art, Kevin Beasley will install and play a new sound sculpture on the High Line at the Rail Yards, a site whose multi-layered sounds enthralled the artist on his initial visit to the park. Developed specifically for the High Line, the composition merges recordings of the natural, human, and machine sounds heard in different locations throughout the park. Learn more.
