Park Update: Crews have cleared the High Line's paths, and the park is open to the public between Gansevoort and 30th Streets. We are working to open the remainder of the park as soon as possible. Please check back or follow @highlinenyc on Twitter for updates.

Photo of the Week: Rainy Days

Don't let the rain scare you away this weekend!

We love High Line Photographer Eddie Crimmins's rainy day shot from the 10th Avenue Square. It's a great reminder of how beautiful and peaceful the park can be, even when the weather is less than cooperative. There are of course bonuses to coming on rainy days – aside from the moody Instagram shots – the plants take on a vibrant hue after a rainfall, there are fewer visitors to compete with along the park's paths, and the air has a freshness that instills a feeling of zen in even the most jaded of us New Yorkers.

Need some inspiration to get out of bed this weekend and brave the elements? See more rainy day photos in the High Line's Flickr Pool.
