Friends of the High Line Joins NYC's New Community Parks Initiative!

You may have seen a recent announcement in the New York Times or The Villager regarding New York City's Community Parks Initiative (CPI). Friends of the High Line is excited to be one of the handful of the city's park conservancies to help support community parks in target CPI neighborhoods.

This partnership gives us the opportunity to extend the work we're already doing for the community close to the High Line through our programming, to neighborhoods in the South Bronx.

Our staff is looking forward to teaming up with local partners to help realize their plans for revitalizing their public spaces, and sharing our expertise in design, construction management, community engagement, education programming, horticulture, public art and job training for teens.

As details are still being finalized, follow our blog for more information in the coming months!
