Collective Poem between SAGE and the Center
we started,
you finished
don’t ask me to be polite
when I’m asking for
my fundamental right
best believe my future
Will be bright, just like the sunlight
Be ready to die,
Be ready to fight,
Be ready to life in the line
Walk with each other
In the moment of fear
We love, and despair and
Our hearts break
Just like yours
We can’t ask other
Not to discriminate when
We as a community continue
To discriminate ourselves
They are taking the T
Out of LGB
Always be vigilant
So the strikes we made
Will not be rolled back
Don’t forget the basis of life
Love each other, kindness, don’t discriminate
They forget
Even religion
The real you
are both important
And enough
The real you
Is an important
Part of the future
The real you
Will change the future
Continue to march to
The rear of freedom
Pledge to allegiance
To the past, present, and future
Taking the struggle and pain
And using it towards making
A change
Just another day
In the 99%
Anger is natural,
Anger is essential,
Anger is beautiful,
If you can’t trust
You can’t love
Something like her leopard printed tights and
A woman with panties older than me
Makes me want to salute her
And call her maatheraa
When you are overwhelmed
with beauty and love
Dare to listen and look
Like I’m right now
