Come mambo with living legend and all-time-favorite Orlando Marin, The Last Mambo King and his all-star band. Orlando will be lighting up the ¡Arriba! Stage for the seventh consecutive year. Join us at 6 PM for music by DJ Rimarkable, or come early for a drink at Terroir and a killer sunset view!

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Orlando Marin, The Last Mambo King
A contemporary of such greats as Tito Puente, Machito, and Tito Rodriguez, Orlando Marin is the only Latin orchestra leader from New York’s golden era of mambo still performing regularly. Marin formed his first band in 1951 and recorded his first album in 1954 on Fiesta Records. Since then, he has performed at esteemed national and international music venues and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Bobby Capo Lifetime Achievement Award.

DJ Rimarkable

Rimarkable is a renaissance woman. A crowd-reading master and rocker of international dance floors for nearly two decades, has allowed her to share the bill with a host of superstars from George Clinton to Madonna to wowing notable colleagues and crowds on Boiler Room. Her unique sound becomes ceremony, with a witches’ brew of House and Techno, in a Soul, Funk, and Disco cauldron, built on the fire behind her Detroit and Chicago upbringing. Rimarkable is the creator and instructor of The Alchemy of DJing Learning Workshops, which present internationally. Her lectures on DJ culture and music have been presented at several festivals, classrooms, including the Queens Museum of Art. Rimarkable is the curator & resident DJ for the international nightlife event, Everybody Random. She resides in Brooklyn, where she owns and operates her creative production company, Rimarkable Things.
