What happens when libraries and parks unite?
The High Line and the Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library are joining to invite NYC families to read books, create art, and reflect on the park.

On Saturdays this June and July, join us on the High Line at the 23rd Street Lawn and Seating Steps to celebrate public space and public learning. Bring your family and experience storytelling sessions from NYPL librarians, complete an art project with High Line teaching artists, or sign up for an NYPL library card. Come experience why NYC is a great place for families.

Activities are specialized for ages 5 – 12, but all ages are welcome. We will have books with braille and text, tactile materials, and skilled facilitators to welcome visitors with disabilities.

We encourage all persons with disabilities to attend. To request additional information regarding accessibility or accommodations at a program, please contact Program venues are accessible via wheelchair.

If inclement weather is expected and the event will be canceled, we will post on @highlinenyc’s X feed and email registered participants by 5pm the day before the program.

Major support for High Line Community Engagement Programs is provided by The Brown Foundation, Inc. of Houston.

High Line Programs, High Line Families, and accessibility on the High Line are supported, in part, with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the New York City Council, under the leadership of Speaker Adrienne Adams, with special thanks to Council Member Erik Bottcher.

Family Art Moment: Dream Wilder With Us is presented by Friends of the High Line in partnership with the Andrew Heiskill Braille and Talking Book Library.
