Flights of Joy

Saturday, October 9, 2021
1 – 4pm
Location
On the Spur, on the High Line at 30th Street and 10th Avenue

Adults, families, and teens are invited to join local artist Carletta Joy Walker for a free afternoon of conversation, art-viewing, and art-making.

Carletta will lead visitors in a conversation about the power of artistic creation to sustain and maintain a sense of connectedness during physical distancing, as we’ve experienced during the pandemic. She will share 10 artworks she has created over the past year and a half of the pandemic and invite participants to roll their sleeves up and contribute to a communal artwork.

This event is free and open to all ages. No RSVP required; drop in at any time.
