Hear the story behind New York City’s park in the sky and the role the LGBTQ+ community played in its development. Join us for a free 75-minute long tour led by a High Line Docent, a knowledgeable volunteer guide who offers you an insider’s perspective on the park’s history, design, and landscape viewed through an LGBTQ+ lens.
The tour is limited to 20 people—there are no reservations and spots are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to arrive at least 15 minutes early. In order to visit the High Line on a weekend, a timed-entry pass is required.
Visitors will be asked to wear a mask. An audio system will be used to allow for social distancing; guests may bring their own wired headphones or may use the ones provided by the High Line.
The High Line Pride tour is also available on Tuesday, June 22 at 9:30am.
Tours are subject to cancellation due to weather. Check @highlinenyc on Twitter for updates prior to arriving at the park.
We also offer regular tours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays throughout the season. Learn more.
Major support for High Line Programs is provided by The Brown Foundation, Inc. of Houston. High Line Tours and accessibility are supported, in part, with public funds from the New York City Council, under the leadership of Speaker Corey Johnson.
