Park update: From June 16 – 20, the section of the High Line from 23rd to 30th Streets will be temporarily closed. Visitors may exit at those streets and walk along 10th Avenue to re-enter the park.

Due to a cloudy forecast, tonight’s stargazing event is canceled.

High Line Tour: From Freight to Flowers will not take place on June 17 or June 18. We look forward to seeing you on a future tour!

Make It Rusty!

Saturday, September 23, 2017
10am – 1pm
Location
On the High Line at 16th St.

Design and construct industrial-inspired mixed media garden sculptures that will age over time. Catch stories about the past and live performances, too.

This program is geared towards children ages 0-12.

Free – RSVP Now

Schedule of events:

10 – 11 AM: Join storyteller Armando Batista with live music. Help tell the tale of New York’s first immigrant – a free man from the Caribbean who came to Mannahatta on a Dutch ship in 1613. Be a sailor, a pirate, a Lenni Lenape and experience New York before it was “New York.”

10 AM – 1 PM: Ongoing activities: mobile garden with a Friends of the High Line gardener, worm bin exploration, and an art project led by Arch for Kids.

11:30 AM: Performance by
Story Pirates

12:00 PM: Performance by
Story Pirates (repeat)

12:30 PM: Performance by The Brandon Project.

All children must be attended by a caregiver at all times.

This program is held rain or shine.
