Camps

We welcome summer camp and community youth groups to visit the High Line for our summer day trips. Campers will become horticulturists, designers, curators, and historians while enjoying an exploratory tour of the park. They’ll also get to use the Rigamajig, our custom-designed kit of wheels, wood planks, and other building materials designed for kids to chart their own course of play. Please check back in spring 2019 to learn about camp trip availability.

Details

Trip Size & Ages
Day trips are available for up to 30 campers per time slot, with one chaperone required for every ten children. Trips are 75 minutes long and cover all aspects of the park in a fun, hands-on experience, led by our trained educators.

During the trip, we’ll divide campers into two groups for more focused attention from our educators. Trips are appropriate for ages 6-14. If your group includes various ages, please help us by having campers grouped by age in advance.

Trip Fee
Each day trip is $140. Chaperones are included in this cost. Financial assistance is available for groups in need.

Schedule
Day trips for summer camps are conducted Monday through Friday and available to start at either 10am or 11:45am.

'' Very inviting and encouraging. Provided plenty of opportunities for questions, discussions, and hands-on exploration.'

— Jermaine Lloyd, Manhattan Country School Camp
