B.Y.O. (“Bring
Your Own”)

Public space is for conversations, intersections, and provocations. B.Y.O. (“Bring Your Own”) is a new series of intimate dialogues, led by artists, that seeks to deepen our understanding of the cultural and social issues of our time.

Led by artists whose practice embraces food and dialogue, B.Y.O. invites New Yorkers to discuss critical issues over shared meals. These intimate conversations bring together groups of people representing different racial and gender identities, who are invested in considering, and changing, our public life. The gatherings are intentionally small but staged in public, allowing audiences to bear witness to the unscripted conversations.
